Abdominoplasty commonly referred to as tummy tuck is a procedure to reduce excess skin and fat around the abdomen and tightens the abdominal muscles. It is commonly combined with liposuction.

Indications:

  • Lax abdomen following multiple pregnancies
  • Post bariatric sugery
  • After massive weight loss

Procedure:

  • It involves liposuction of the abdomen
  • followed by removal of excess skin.
  • Abdominal muscles are tightened (Rectus plication)
  • Umblicus is repositioned
