Before you go home, you may have an X-ray to ensure that your stent is in the correct position. How long does a stent need to remain in place? Stent pain pathophysiology is multifactorial and\u00a0likely a result of mucosal irritation along with retrograde reflux of urine<\/b>. While there is a consensus on the lack of association between stent length, diameter, and stent-related flank pain, stents should be properly sized so as to prevent dislodgement.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
